Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in pursuing the academic scholarship funded by the Edwards Family Reunion Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Each year our non-profit organization wishes to provide a scholarship valued at $500 for a deserving student from the Wilson and Rocky Mount area. The guidelines for the scholarship are listed below. If you believe you satisfy these requirements, please apply by completing the application packet located on our website: https://efrscholarshipfoundation.org

Criteria

  • Applicants must be a graduating senior and must enrolled in an accredited four-year College or University, a Community College, or Trade School.
  • Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA

Completed Scholarship Packets must include

  • A completed, typed, or hand-written copy of the Scholarship Application
  • College or University, Community College, or Trade School acceptance letter
  • A copy of your official high school transcript
  • Verification of Community Service/Volunteerism
  • Two (2) Completed Letters of Recommendation
  • A one-page double-spaced typed essay in 12 point Times Roman Font. The Essay should be written independently and represent your originality and reflect your thoughts. It must be signed and dated. Essay Topic: “What Family Means to Me”.

Deadline

  • Your completed application packet must be received or postmarked by April 19, 2024
  • Mail your completed application to EFR Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

Further information

  • All applications packets received by the deadline will be reviewed to ensure that all required information has been submitted.
  • All applicants with complete application packets will be contacted via email or
    phone to reschedule an online interview with the scholarship committee.

****Applications postmarked after midnight on April 19, 2024 WILL NOT be accepted. Any application packet without the items outlined in this letter will be considered incomplete and will be ineligible for consideration for the scholarship.
